(9) Organisms and environments. The student knows and understands that living organisms within an ecosystem interact with one another and with their environment. The student is expected to:

(A) investigate that most producers need sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to make their own food, while consumers are dependent on other organisms for food; and

(B) describe the flow of energy through food webs, beginning with the Sun, and predict how changes in the ecosystem affect the food web.

We will	research an animal (specific species) from an ecosystem.
I will	choose a specific ecosystem and species from that certain ecosystem, and complete the Ecosystem Worksheet while completing the research.

This week you will complete an ecosystem research project!

1. Look over the Ecosystem Worksheet: Click here for the recording worksheet for your project.

2. Then, use the website linked to the images below to choose an ecosystem and a specific species from that ecosystem to complete your research on.

3. Once you have completed your Ecosystem Research Worksheet, you will draw a picture on Paint 3D or on paper of your ecosystem and species in the ecosystem. Please include living and nonliving things from that ecosystem in your drawing, and include other animals that are in the community. Click here to turn in the drawing of your ecosystem and species.
