¡Hola! My name is Ruth Alba. I am originally from Michoacan state located in Western Mexico. I received my B.B.A from the Instituto Tecnológico de Ciudad Guzmán http://www.itcg.edu.mx. After moving to Corsicana, I received my Teacher's Certification from the University of Texas at Tyler http://www.uttyler.edu/. My first teaching job was at Collins Middle School, where I have had the pleasure of teaching for 26 years. I currently teach Spanish I, PREAP Spanish II ADV, and Spanish III PreAP/Spanish IV AP. My conference time is during fourth period, from 10:48-11:41.

About My Class

The purpose of Spanish courses is to develop and reinforce the skills necessary to study a new language and culture. Through an ongoing study of the new language, a student can begin to approach a proficiency level that will enable him/her to use the language in a useful and meaningful way outside of the classroom. Advanced Spanish classes reinforce the student’s previous language learning, while emphasizing the use of the new language for communication.
