Course Syllabus

       Welcome to Kindergarten at Navarro Elementary! I am so excited to start my 17^th year of teaching with you and your family! I look forward to learning more about your child this year. I want to start by letting you know a little bit about me.

            This will be my 17th year at Navarro Elementary. I have taught 2^nd grade for 6 years, 3^rd grade for 7 years, 1st grade for 2 years, and 2 years of Kindergarten. I am a graduate of Navarro College, where I received my Associate’s degree in 2002. I am also a graduate of Texas A&M-Commerce (Navarro campus) where I received my Bachelor’s degree in 2004. I am looking forward to another amazing year in Kindergarten. My heart is in Kindergarten and I am excited to learn all about your little ones.

            I have 2 dogs at home, ( a Pomeranian named Chaquita,  and a Pit bull named Stormy) and have been happily married since 1995. We have 1 son, that was in the US Navy for 6 years and is now working for the Navy as a civilian in Washington State. Your children become my children as we grow to know each other. I feel blessed to be a part of their lives.

If you need to contact me, call the school at (903) 874-1011. You may also get in contact with me through my email agonzales@cisd.org. I check your child’s folder every day, so you may send notes as well. Sometimes a note may get lost, so if it is urgent please call or come see me. Once we get you set up on our class dojo ( contacting app) we can message through that too. My conference time will be from 8:55-9:50. Please make an appointment if you would like to come during my conference period. Education is a team effort!
