The meaning of a word in a sentence matters a lot. More specifically, we can use the same word in a sentence, but it can mean very different things depending on how it's used. For example, read the dictionary definition of the word full below:

full (adj.)

1. containing all that is possible 2. completely satisfied 3. rich 4. round

Now, read this sentence that uses the word full:

We could not place another book in the box because it was full.

We know that the word full can mean containing all that is possible. We also know the word full can mean that you've eaten too much. Or, it can mean that something is rather large and filled out (ex., a full skirt).

So...which definition matches the use of the word full in the sentence? 1, 2, 3, or 4?

Definition 1 is the best answer :) Now, answer the quiz questions that follow. Choose the very best answer.
