Watch the following video about types of sentences. Make sure you understand the differences between all three types. Then, answer the quiz questions that follow. Remember:

A simple sentence consists of one independent clause (one subject + one verb + expresses a complete thought).

A complex sentence consists of one independent clause + plus one or more dependent clauses (one subject + one verb + a phrase that may or may not have subject and/or verb but does NOT express a complete thought).

A compound sentence consists of 2 independent clauses separated by a semicolon or a comma and conjunction. (2 separate sentences with one subject + one verb each, separated by a semicolon (;) or a comma (,) and conjunction (FANBOY).
